Areas we serve

We can accommodate vet home visits in Fairfield and surrounding suburbs, including Alphington, Clifton Hill, Ivanhoe, Northcote, Preston and more.

Our in-home services

We offer routine check-ups, pet vaccinations, and compassionate at-home euthanasia.

Our friendly and experienced nurses can also visit to administer medications, give injections such as regular Cartrophen (pentosan) treatments, trim nails, and more.

Home visits have limitations, so we may advise treatment at our clinic when needed. If this is the case, we can help arrange transport for you.

FAQs

What times are available for home visits?

We do not have a dedicated mobile home visit team, so we arrange our home visits based on the availability of our vets and nurses.

If you would like a home visit, call us to arrange a suitable time.

These cannot be booked on our online booking service, but we will do our best to accommodate the day and time that most suits you.

As with all veterinary services, if we are presented with an emergency at the clinic we may have to amend the time of your visit or reschedule - we will do our very best to minimise the impact on you and your pet.

How much does a vet home visit cost?

Our home visit fee is $120 for a veterinary visit and $85 for a nurse visit. This is in addition to the consultation, vaccination and/or treatment costs.

What if my pet needs surgery or lab testing?

We may be able to take a sample for a blood test, fine needle biopsy or ear cytology at home and call you from the clinic with the results. For anything more complex, we will need to treat your pet at the clinic.

If you need help transporting them to us we can help you with that.

How quickly will I get the results?

Blood and urine test results are usually available the same day or within 24 hours.  Imaging results will be discussed with you on the day, and if the images are sent to a specialist for further evaluation their report usually takes a few days.

Biopsy results are returned typically in 2-7 days and we will call you to discuss the results when we receive them.

Can you test for cancer in pets?

Cancer can be detected with a combination of blood and urine tests to evaluate organ function and rule out other causes of an animal's symptoms,  imaging to localise the area of concern, and biopsies for laboratory confirmation of the diagnosis.

Occasionally more advanced diagnostics such as a CT scan is needed.  This is something we can arrange for you.
